 KHRONOS (aka Chronus Aion Phanes) was the ancient personification of time and the eldest of the PROTOGENOI (THE PROTOGENOI were the first born immortals whose forms made up the very fabric of the universe. They emerged at the very beginning of time). He was described as being an old white-haired god who turned the wheels of time (perhaps revolving the heavenly constellations).

If you are still using a stop watch and a notepad to do time and motion studies, the time has arisen to throw them away, for Khronos has arrived to make this mundane and often unpleasant task much more palatable.

Khronos was designed for the call center but is very flexible for use in any industry.  Khronos is centered around the event.  An event describes the task being monitored, to include a name for quick reference, event type, event action, start time, end time, elapsed time, comment, and sub events.

  • Event name is auto-filled but changeable.
  • Event Type is configurable based on department and team that the event is in.
  • Action type is configurable based on department, team, and event Type.
  • Start Time is set when an event is first opened, and can be edited later in the event edit session.
  • End Time is set when the the event is closed, and can be modified in the event edit session.
  • Elapsed time is calculated based on the Start Time and the End Time, unless an event has been re-opened to capture more event Time.
  • Comments, up to 250 characters.
  • Sub Events are added as needed, and there event time is also captured in the parent event.

Most important are the reports generated from the data captured, assisting the conductor of the survey in answering such questions as:  What events occur most often?  Why does it take so much time to perform an individual event?  Does the individual's education level make a difference?  Flexible reporting allows you to answer ALL of your time and motion study questions.
